Saint Louis Brewers Heritage Festival 2011
The St. Louis Brewers Heritage Festival returns this June to historic Forest Park, bringing together more than 15,000 adults to celebrate the city’s wide variety of beer. Rich in brewing history, St. Louis has established itself as America’s beer capital and this fifth annual beer festival toasts that honored distinction.
This year’s festival will feature more brewers and beer styles than years past; attendees have the opportunity to sample more than 75 beer styles from 17 local breweries.
Returning breweries from last year’s festival lineup include:
- Amalgamated Brewing Company
- Augusta Brewing Company
- Buffalo Brewing Company
- Cathedral Square Brewery
- Highlands Brewing Company
- Morgan Street Brewery
- O’Fallon Brewery
- Schlafly Beer
- Six Row Brewing Company
- Square One Brewery
- Trailhead Brewing Company
New participating breweries include:
- 2nd Shift Brewing Company
- Ferguson Brewing Company
- Perennial Artisan Ales
- Urban Chestnut Brewing Company
Several notable restaurants from the St. Louis Originals – Companion Bakery, Harvest, LoRusso’s Cucina, SqWires and Vin de Set – will serve a variety of culinary delights to complement the available lagers, ales and specialty beers.
The festival is held rain or shine under a massive, Bavarian beerfest-style tent at the Central Fields in Forest Park. This year includes three sessions spread over two days:
- Friday, June 10; 7-11 p.m.
- Saturday, June 11; 1-5 p.m. and 7-11 p.m.
Tickets are $30 prior to the event and $35 at the festival, and are currently on sale at www.stlbrewfest.com or by calling 1-888-792-2424. Last year’s festival sold out, so adults ages 21 and older are encouraged to purchase tickets early.
Proceeds from the event benefit local charity, Lift for Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children who live in the city of St. Louis.
