Sabroso Craft Beer & Taco Festival | Photos
Cinco de Mayo came a little early for us here at TFP as we made our way to Silverado, California for the Sabroso Craft Beer & Taco Festival. Presented by Brew Ha Ha Productions, the folks behind the ever-popular OC Brew Ha Ha, the event featured unlimited tastes of over 50 craft beers with a selection of over 30 types of gourmet and locally made tacos from regional chef, restaurants, and taco trucks. After a week of unbearable heat in the south land, the space located near Irvine Lake lent some reprieve — creating the perfect environment for a Saturday afternoon filled with solid beer, food, and entertainment.
Live music and luchadors provided the back-drop of this unique affair benefiting an Irvine-based Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. It was nice to see a selection of seasoned breweries like Noble Ale Works and Firestone Walker alongside relative new-comers Bottle Logic and the newly opened Beach City Brewery. Highlights of the day included the appropriately spiced Pistola with Serrano Peppers from Noble and one of my favorites, Two 5 Left from El Segundo Brewing.
