RateBeer Summer Gathering 2012 – You Are Invited
RateBeer.com is my preferred choice in the big two beer database websites, some reasons being more obvious than others. Their community is world wide, and for the most party very welcoming of folks new to craft beer. Friend of The Full Pint Bobby has organized an insane 4 day beer bus tour of LA and OC, and has seats still available on this bus. It gets better, the two day bus tour cumulates at The RBSG Grand Tasting. For those who missed out on Woodshop 7 tickets might want to consider getting in on the Grand Tasting. While I’ve never personally been a part of the RBSG Grand Tastings, I’ve been told this will be as fun as a Woodshop tasting if not more fun, so here is your chance! Here is a note from Bobby below. Ratebeer Summer Gathering hosted in Los Angeles July 19-22
Every summer the users of Ratebeer.com get together for a weekend of brewery visits, bar hopping, bottle sharing, and general beer related fun. This year Los Angeles will be hosting the 10th annual gathering and many of the local brewers are rolling out the red carpet with private tours, cellared special releases, and even a few Ratebeer Summer Gathering exclusive beers. The basic schedule looks like this:
-Thursday night July 19th there will be some pub crawling in the LAX area.
-Friday July 20th is the bus tour through Orange County.
-Saturday July 21st will be a bus tour through Los Angeles and culminating in the Grand Tasting.
-Sunday July 22nd is hugely popular Woodshop tasting party.
In the past the Ratebeer Summer gathering has been in such beer centric cities as San Diego, Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Portland. Beer nerds and enthusiasts travel from near and far for the fun and camaraderie. Come hang out and you may even get to meet Danny Fullpint.
All events are prepaid and seating is limited.
