New Holland Brewing Co. Hosts 2014 Blue Sunday Bash
Holland, MI – New Holland Brewing Co. is celebrating the release of the popular Blue Sunday Sour Ale on January 12, 2014 with a release party at the Pub (66 E. 8th Street) that is open to the public. Blue Sunday Sour Ale was named as a nod to the infamous “blue laws” that made it illegal to sell or serve beer on Sunday in Ottawa County. Today, it is a celebration of many things, including the change that “said yes to Sunday”, as well as the incredible impact that craft brewing and distilling has had on our lives and communities.
New Holland will pour many special beers for the day and toast to the release of 2014 Blue Sunday sour ale – a hand-blended barrel-aged ale that shifts subtly from year to year. New Holland will also host live music and share some wonderful food and festiveness with the community. Blue Sunday Release Party is from 3pm-11pm at the Pub (66 E. 8thStreet) on January 12.
The bar and main floor will be open to the public with no cover charge. Special beers will be available in-house and to-go. Flights of New Holland vintages are available to all.
There is also a specialty Blue Sunday tour on January 12 at the Production Campus (684 Commerce Court). The tour will include an in-depth look into the New Holland sour program and tastes of various Blue Sunday vintages. Tickets can be purchased through the New Holland website newhollandbrew

Stella! is a four-piece, all-women, American roots band from southeast Michigan and has been referred to as a singer-songwriter super group with three-part vocal harmonies and four songwriter voices. Stella! was first conceived of by singer-songwriter Jo Serrapere after a conversation with American music critic and Creem Magazine co-founder Dave Marsh. Jo was inspired to put together a new group to showcase country-roots songwriting. With the release of their debut album, “Sorry, Stella,” the girls were invited to join Michigan-based music collective Earthwork Music (earthworkmusic.com).

7:00-10:00 pm
Mixing their own self-penned songs with vintage country/honky tonk hits, rockabilly favorites, and surf gems by such artists as Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Wanda Jackson, Buck Owens, Gene Vincent, and Dick Dale, Delilah and the Lost Boys come out on stage looking and sounding like a step back in time. Dressed to the nines in the tradition of pre-color television, the band thrills audiences across the Midwest with its spirited performances. www.
About New Holland Brewing Co.
New Holland Brewing Company’s deep roots in the craft industry go back to 1997. Our role as an integral member of the artisan approach is something we take seriously, yet engage lightheartedly. We believe the art of craft lives in fostering rich experiences for our customers, through creating authentic beer, spirits and food while providing great service. Recognized for our creativity and artistry, our mission to improve the lives of craft consumers everywhere is seen in our diverse, balanced collection of beer and spirits.
New Holland brews and distills at two locations in Holland, Michigan: our production facility on the north side and our Pub & Restaurant in downtown Holland. The restaurant welcomes guests seven days a week and production tours are on Saturday afternoons. We welcome visitors and locals alike, and appreciate the opportunity to share our artisan approach through warm hospitality and enriching education.
With just under 150 employees, New Holland Brewing Co. sells its beer and spirits across a growing regional landscape, while anchored in the upper Midwest. In 2012, our production facility underwent substantial development including the tripling of our brewing capacity through outdoor fermentation, the addition of a centrifuge and the expansion of our Dragon’s Milk cellar. In 2013, the company is expanding its distilling capabilities, renovating the downtown Holland Pub & Restaurant and focusing on the integration of Michigan agriculture; hops, wheat and barley, into several new and existing brands.
