Napa Blues, Brews and BBQ

Napa, Ca – Blues, Brews & BBQ will have all the elements one would expect – three musical stages, twenty micro-brewed beers, and lots of BBQ. The Napa Valley twist to the event is the inclusion of The Bounty Hunter Rib Eatin’ Contest, when local winemakers will go mano-y-mano in an attempt to claim rib eatin’ glory. .

August 28^th – 1 to 6 PM

Winemakers and grape growers will sit down elbow to elbow, and at the sound of the starter’s gun, will devour as many ribs as they can in a limited time. Winners will receive awards and bragging rights for the year. The Bounty Hunter Rib Eatin’ Contest will start at 3PM in the Dwight Murray Plaza in Downtown Napa.

The twenty beers featured in the Backyard Beer Garden will include some that beer drinkers don’t normally get to taste, including two each from Lagunitas, Pyramid Ale, Dogfish, Alaskan and New Belgium Brewing.  Also on tap will be micro-brews from Boston Beer, 21^st Amendment and four others.  Tastes of all beers will be available for purchase.

The three stages will present a variety of great music.  The main stage presents the Bay Area Blues Extravaganza, featuring Sista Monica, Laddee Bianca, Earl Thomas, Zakiya hooker and the Lucky Thirteen Blues Band. The KFOG 104.5 FM stage will feature Bay Area greats Reckless in las Vegas, Elliot Randall & The Deadmen, and OONA, featuring Oona Garthwaite and Dave Tweedie. and the Garden Stage will feature Jake Spoon Blues Band and Blue Steel.

As to Barbeque?  Look for ribs, chicken, oysters, corn, pork – just about anything that can be grilled will be available.  Generously sponsored by Lagunitas Beer.  Co-sponsored by the Napa Downtown Association, and Bounty Hunter Wine Bar and Smokin’ BBQ, the exclusive wine sponsors of the event.
