Modern Times Beer Christmas Fiesta
Is there a better way to spend Monday, December 23rd than partying with us at the brewery? There is not. It was a rhetorical question. Think about it: it’s the day before Christmas Eve. You either don’t have to go to work the next day, or you will get nothing done if you do.
Might as well drink some rad beer and put on your raddest Christmas sweater (bonus points for sweaters with working lights or bells) to party at the Lomaland Fermentorium. We’ll be tapping a cask of Black House w/ orange & chocolate and a keg of Blazing World w/ spruce tips, both of which will be fully awesome.
It’s the same night as our Monthly Homebrew Competition, too, which’ll add to the conviviality. We’ll also be announcing the winner of our holiday watercolor painting contest, which has led to the creation of an impressive array of mostly SFW paintings now hanging in the hallway. All in all, it’ll be a real good time, and we’d love to see your shining face there.
In other news, Lost Horizon–our Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe, Calypso double IPA–is heading out into distribution, which means bars & restaurants can put it on-tap if they like. We’re pretty stoked on the beer, it being our first DIPA and all, which you can read about in greater detail here.
We’ll be tapping a cask of Lost Horizon w/ Calypso & oak this Wednesday at the Lomaland Fermentorium. We’ll also be doing a keep the glass/multi-tap dealie at Press Box in El Cajon featuring Lost Horizon (among others) on Wednesday (that’s today), if you’re in the neighborhood.
Other fun stuff at the Lomaland tasting room: the Del Mar Taco Co.–whose tacos have been raved about in past visits–will be returning this Friday, and Southern Fried Vegan will be here on Saturday for a big holiday all-you-can-eat buffet from 3-5pm (a la carte afterwards.)
Sadness: we’re down to our last keg of Orderville, our laborious & delicious wet hop IPA. It’s still offering up loads of peach/melon hoppy goodness from the utterly excessive quantity of Mosaic hops we used. It’ll probably be gone by the end of the week, but it’s currently still available for tasters, pints, & growler fills.
We also still have plenty of arts & crafts supplies if you feel like doing something useful with your sinful, sinful hands while drinking beer with us. Free as always!
Cheers & thanks,
Jacob McKean
