Miss Ollie’s Presents An Evening of Beer And Soul Part 2
Fresh off the thrill of their SF Beer Week collaboration Sayre Piotrkowski is once again working with the incomparable Chef Sarah Kirnon.
“This time we will partner with our friends at Starline Social Club and bring our event home to Oakland, CA. Both Sarah and I are Oakland residents and her Caribbean style one-stop concept, “Miss Ollie’s” is set to open in its downtown location later this summer.” – Sayre

This menu will focus exclusively on just two brewers:
Craftsman Brewing Company is a small owner-operated brewery, located in Pasadena, CA. Most celebrated for his flagship “Heavenly Hefeweizen,” brewer Mark Jilg demonstrates a penchant for brewing the sort of “session” beers that you can easily drink two or three glasses of. I spent 2007 working in LA, and ever since I escaped back home to Bay I have been trying to find creative ways to get Mark’s beers up here. The menu on the 26th will feature three Craftsman brews including the signature “Hefe” as well as two others that should be new to even the most savvy of Bay Area beer-geeks.
Dying Vines Brewing Company is a less than one year-old enterprise operating out of the Linden Street Brewing facility in the Port of Oakland, CA. Owner and brewer Kel Alcala crafts English Inspired Ales that exhibit elegantly calibrated complexity while remaining below 5.0% ABV. In my view the Dying Vines beers are some of the most food-friendly suds produced anywhere on the planet. In addition to two of Dying Vines’ core brands, “Hop Candi” and “Ol’ Brick Bitter,” the dinner on the 26th will feature the debut of a “custom craft-brew” that Kel is creating specifically to be served with Sarah’s food.
