Milwaukee Firkin Beer Fest and Alterra Partnership
Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee Firkin Beer Fest, one of the hottest craft beer festivals in the Midwest, is excited to announce details about Alterra’s festival offerings including their signature Cáscara Farmhouse Ale. Alterra Coffee Roasters, one of the Milwaukee community’s most well-known and beloved businesses, brings an internationally influenced selection of beers to the festival.
The Milwaukee Firkin Beer Fest is sponsored by the East Town Association and is produced by BrewFest Partners. This festival differentiates itself from other beer festivals by showcasing a large number of cask conditioned ales or “firkins”, which is a term that refers to a small cask of beer that is naturally carbonated, not adding carbon dioxide or nitrogen while in the keg.
“We are incredibly excited that Alterra will be bringing their Cáscara Farmhouse Ale, which is brewed with Colombian coffee cherries,” Curt Foreman, founder and owner of BrewFest Partners, explained. George Bregar, Director of Coffee at Alterra and avid home brewer says, “”We’re excited to incorporate some flavors from the coffee farm into this Belgian-style farmhouse ale. This is the first seasonal offering for Alterra’s beer program, which made its Milwaukee area debut at our new 68th Street cafe.”
