Midtown Pub Crawl this Friday and our World Beer Cup victories
Dear St. Arnold’s Army:
WE WON AGAIN! YAY!
We are excited to report that this past Saturday evening we won two medals at the World Beer Cup which has quickly turned into the professional brewers’ Olympics.
We won a gold medal with our Divine Reserve No. 4 in the Strong Scotch Ale category and a silver medal with our Elissa IPA in the International Pale Ale category. Since we only entered four beers in the competition, we are even more pleased with these results.
The World Beer Cup is held every two years and is the largest commercial beer competition in the world. This year there were almost 3,000 beers entered from 58 countries. 268 beers won medals.

And now, the information that you are looking for:
SAINT ARNOLD’S MIDTOWN SUMMER PILS PUB CRAWL THIS FRIDAY!
Time for the Summer Pils pub crawl in Midtown, featuring a new pub crawl pint glass as a prize! We will be using the open house technique again for the first 3 hours with a communal finish. Here’s how it works:
We will be signing tickets at all three of the first three stops for three hours so people can split up between the establishments. You will get your ticket at whichever stop you decide to visit first. But, VERY IMPORTANT, we will only be handing out the tickets between 6 PM and 7 PM. Thus, you still need to start between 6 and 7. Then, at 9 PM, everybody will gather at one final stop and that is where we will award the glasses. The prize for making all four stops will be the Pub Crawl pint glass. We will have a large but limited supply. And as always, designated drivers are both eligible for the award and encouraged to attend! So here is the layout. As always, we can’t tell you exactly where we will be, but here are some general directions:
6 PM till 9 PM: We will look for three different establishments at which to hang out.
We will look for one around Bagby and Bremond.
We will look for another around Brazos and Gray.
We will look for a third around Gray and Baldwin.
At 9:00 we will look for someplace around Brazos and Hadley to complete our evening.
Remember that cash is helpful, be kind to your waitstaff, and always, always appear in public enjoying a Saint Arnold. We hold those that arrange for transportation to and from or use designated drivers in the highest regard!
We are brewing Divine Reserve No. 6 today. It is a hoppy American barleywine and should be released in June. Start sucking up to your favorite store management today so you can get some.
Thanks again for your support!
Cheers!
