Michigan Mayhem Brewery Tour 2010
Final cost is $225 a person. This trip will include your hotel room for two nights – double occupancy (also includes continental breakfast at the Comfort Inn only), transportation for the entire trip (which is a Kobussen motor coach with a bathroom, DVD player), and a commemorative t-shirt (need to know your T-shirt size!).
HOWEVER, we need to know NO LATER THAN Friday, February 12th if you’re wanting to go. Also need the money in by then, mailed to – check or cash – to Dexter’s Pub, 601 North Street, Madison, WI 53704.
You will be responsible for your meals/beers on the trip, with the exception of the Comfort Inn’s continental breakfast (Sun. Morning).

WHAT & WHERE: A brewery tour to the following places: 3 Floyds in Munster, Indiana, The Livery brewery in Benton Harbor, MI, Founder’s brewery in Grand Rapids, MI, Bell’s Brewery – both the Eccentric Cafe and production facility in Galesburg and Kalamazoo, MI, New Holland brewery – both the brewery and distillery in Holland, MI, Arcadia brewery in Battle Creek, MI, and Dark Horse brewery in Marshall, MI. 8 breweries .. in 3 days. Your transportation is taken care (no nasty drunk driving tickets!) and your hotel (sleeping two to a room). If you want your own room, cost will be: $225 + 114.78 = $339.78. Your meals/drinks are on your own, with the exception of breakfast – the Comfort Inn in the morning will have continental breakfast. You can also drink on the bus (glass is allowed, with the commmitment from everyone aboard to dispose of everything properly), and bring food with as well. The bus is a coach bus, that will have a bathroom, DVD player, and a few tables to play cards on.
*You are allowed to only bring a carry-on, and once piece of luggage on the bus (bus company’s rules). Also note, we’ll provide a few coolers to store everyone’s drinks/food in.. so there aren’t an excess amounts of coolers on the bus.
WHEN: Saturday, March 6th until Monday, March 8th.
WHY: To visit some of the best breweries in the country!

DAY 1: Saturday, March 6, 2010:
7 AM Leave Dexter’s Pub.
8:30 AM – 9 AM Arrive at Park and Ride near Milwaukee (Park and Ride TBD). *2 hour ride to Munster, Indiana
10:30 AM Arrive at 3 Floyd’s (they do not open until 12 noon on Saturdays. I have a special tour lined up with Lincoln Anderson, the Regional Sales Manager.. Then do lunch at 3 Floyds (lunch is on own). *Approximately 2 hours here. ** 1 Hour and 25 minute drive to the Livery. ***Please note, entering EST – 1 hour ahead!
3:30 PM Arrive at The Livery (190 5th Street, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 (269) 925-8760). Have special tour lined up with Steve, the owner/brewmaster. He will offer happy hour pricing on beer – also makes ciders. Food Served here. *Approximately 2 hours here. **1 Hour 23 Minutes drive to Founder’s.
7:00 PM Arrive at Founder’s Brewing Company (235 Grandville SW, Grand Rapids, MI). Have dinner here on own. *Spend the rest of the night here, live music. Hotel is within walking distance from brewery. Also, Hop Cat, one of the world’s best beer bars is located not far from the hotel/brewery as well.
HOTEL: Holiday Inn, DT Grand Rapids (310 Pearl St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI (616) 235-7611). Restaurant on the premises – no continental breakfast served.

DAY 2: Sunday, March 7, 2010:
10:00 AM Leave Hotel in Grand Rapids, MI. **30 Minute drive to New Holland.
10:30 AM Arrive at New Holland Brewing (66 E. 88th Street, Holland, MI (610) 555-NHBC). Special tour set up first at brewery, just north up the road. Then special tour of the distillery (part of brewpub). Serves food here, eat lunch here (people are responsible for their own food). Beer isn’t sold until 12 PM in Michigan – FYI. * Approximately 3 Hours here. **1 Hour and 18 Minute drive to Galesburg, MI.
3:00 PM Arrive at Bell’s Production facility (8938 Krum Avenue, Galesburg, MI). This tour is NOT open to the public, special tour for the group. *Approximately 1 Hour here. **13 Minute drive to Kalamazoo.
5:00 PM Bell’s Eccentric Café (355 E. Kalamazoo Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI (269) 382-2332). Dinner, on own, here. Hotel is within walking distance from brewery. *Rest of the night here.

2:30 PM Arrive at Dark Horse (511 S. Kalamazoo Avenue, Marshall, MN 49058 (269) 781-9940). *Approximately 2 Hours here. **6 Hours back to Madison, 4 Hours back to Milwaukee) – 10-11 PM back to Madison, 8-9 PM back to Milwaukee.
