American Craft Beer Week 2013 is right around the corner, and Heavy Seas of Baltimore, MD has released their schedule of events.
May 13 – Beer: An All-American Celebration
Join Baltimore Beer Babes for Ladies Night at Mahaffey’s in Canton and explore some of the best beers in the country paired up with all American fare. Heavy Seas Small Craft Warning Uber Pils will be available to sample. $20 per guest. Advance registration includes all beer, food & gratuity.

May 14 – All-You-Can-Taste Tap Takeover
Head to Charles Village Pub in Towson, MD for a special tap takeover featuring 12 Heavy Seas beers at all of their bars! For $20, get a souvenir tasting glass that allows you to freely sample any of the Heavy Seas beers on tap – or buy a Heavy Seas pint for $6 and get $4 refills. Beers featured: Loose Cannon, Small Craft Warning, Peg Leg, Cutlass, Powder Monkey, Black Cannon, Riptide, Siren Noire, the Big DIPA, Holy Sheet & Below Decks. (5 – 9 pm)
May 15 – Loose Cannon Wooden Cask
Grab a pint of Heavy Seas Loose Cannon freshly poured from a wooden oak cask at Bushwaller’s in Frederick, MD. We believe cask ale is “draft beer at its finest expression!” If you’ve never tasted Loose Cannon from the cask, you won’t want to miss this event. Tapping at 5 pm, keep the pint glass with your first Loose Cannon while supplies last.
May 15 – Holy Sheet Rollout/Baltimore
Join our pyrate crew at the Heavy Seas Alehouse in Baltimore as we celebrate the limited release of Holy Sheet (Uber Abbey Ale aged in Brandy Barrels). Enjoy Holy Sheet freshly poured from the cask, and receive a free Uncharted Waters snifter glass with your first purchase of Holy Sheet while supplies last – limit of one per customer! (6 – 8 pm)

May 16 – Pyrate Tap Takeover
Heavy Seas Beer storms the taps of JoJo’s Restaurant & Taphouse in Frederick, MD! Meet Heavy Seas Beer founder and chief pyrate Hugh Sisson, and enjoy specials on Heavy Seas pints during the event. Pay as you go. (6 – 8 pm)
May 17 – Beer Tasting
Sample several offerings from Heavy Seas Beer at Ye Olde Spirit Shop in Frederick, MD. Meet Heavy Seas MD territory manager Terry Moran and learn more about our extrAARGHdinary brews! The tasting is free, and if you enjoy the beer so much, make sure to buy some to take home with you.

May 18 – Bus to MD Craft Beer Festival
Let us be the designated driver while you relax to and from the Maryland Craft Beer Festival happening in Downtown Frederick, MD. The bus leaves the Heavy Seas parking lot at 11:30 am and leaves the festival to return to the brewery at 6 pm. Your $45 advance bus tickets includes round trip transportation, refreshments on the bus, admission to the festival, a glass & beer tokens. Seating is very limited so don’t wait! The MD Craft Beer Fest features over 25 Maryland breweries pouring over 125 unique, fresh and local craft beers. Heavy Seas Beer will be offering a variety of our brews on draft, as well as a wooden cask of Loose Cannon during the VIP Hour and a cask of Gold Ale with honey and tart cherries for General Admission.
