Breckenridge Brewery to Celebrate 20th Anniversary with Good Ol’ Fashioned Pig Pickin’ and Colorado Brewers Guild Fund-Raiser
Denver, CO – Breckenridge Brewery of Colorado, LLC, is celebrating 20 years of producing fine Colorado ales by hosting a brewmaster’s beer dinner and an old-fashioned pig roast with live music. The brewery’s humble beginning in 1990 was in Breckenridge, Colorado, with the opening of the original Breckenridge Brewery and Pub by Richard Squire, a home-brewing ski bum. Breckenridge Brewery is the 3rd-oldest craft brewery in Colorado and is now 46th on the Brewers Association list of largest U.S. craft breweries.
The celebration starts with a beer dinner on Thursday, July 8th, at its production brewery at 471 Kalamath Street in Denver. The dinner is hosted by brewmaster Todd Usry, and will include 4 courses and 5 beers. The pig roast on July 10th is primarily an outdoor party starting at noon that includes music by Marty Jones and the Great Unknown, The Goat Ropers, and Joe Apice of foma. In addition to serving great barbecue and Breckenridge beers, the brewery will offer tastings of special single release barrel-aged beers and firkin treatments of current mainline beers. The Infinite Monkey Theorem, an urban winery and neighbor of the brewery’s, will also offer tastings of it’s Colorado-made wines.
Both events are open to the public. A portion of the pig roast entry fee will benefit the Colorado Brewers Guild. The Colorado Brewers Guild promotes the quality and diversity of the Colorado craft brewing industry through consumer education, media relations, and the promotion of positive legislation for Colorado craft brewers. Tickets to the Brewmaster’s Beer Dinner are $40 per person and must be purchased in advance at either of the two Breckenridge Brewery Denver locations – 471 Kalamath Street or 2220 Blake Street. Tickets to the anniversary party on July 10th should be purchased at the party. The $20 entry fee on July 10th includes unlimited food & beer and all music and special tastings. $10 tickets for under 21 and designated drivers will be available.

In the past two decades Breckenridge Brewery has grown from a small 3,000-barrels-a-year brewpub to one of the most successful craft beer companies in the nation. It now handcrafts nearly 30,000 barrels of fresh beer annually and owns and operates 4 pubs in the state of Colorado.
