First Ever Downtown Long Beach Promenade Beer And Wine Festival
Long Beach, CA – The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) tap into the culinary culture of Downtown Long Beach – and a few microbrew kegs ‐‐ with the first ever Downtown Long Beach Promenade Beer And Wine Festival on Saturday, September 21 from 5‐10 p.m. on the Promenade between 1st and 3rd Streets. Scheduled to follow Red Bull’s Flutag, occurring he same day at the Pine Avenue Pier, the Promenade Beer and Wine Festival will welcome local foodies and visitors alike.
The event will celebrate the growth of wine bars and craft beer brewed, sold and savored in Long Beach as well as the diverse culinary options emerging in the city’s core.Nearly twenty local eateries will each be paired with a brewery and a winery or wine bar and offer food and drink pairings ranging from traditional gourmet to edgy and experimental.
“The eclectic culinary community in Downtown is growing, and the Promenade is at the epicenter of that recent emergence,” shared Kraig Kojian, President and CEO of the DLBA. “This event is a great opportunity to showcase Downtown Long Beach as a dining destination and highlight its unique entrepreneurs.”
Through a partnership with Beachwood BBQ and Brewing, District Wine, and Wine Down Lounge, breweries and wineries from across California and beyond are registering to participate in this unique convergence of brewer masters, vintners, and restaurateurs. Participants include Long Beach institutions such as The Sky Room and L’Opera, along with new additions like Pier 76 and James Republic, and favorite regional breweries like Hanger 24, Firestone, and many more.
Pre‐sale tickets for the Downtown Long Beach Promenade Beer And Wine Festival will be sold for $25 beginning August 30 and $30 at the gate. The ticket price includes unlimited 3oz beer & wine tastings, 10 food samplers, a souvenir tasting glass, and as always with DLBA events, a full line‐up of live local bands and free bike valet.
