First Annual LA Beerathon Scheduled for March
The first annual LA Beerathon will hit the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on March 31. This 26-stop challenge will surely push beer-loving livers across southern California to their max potential with venues spanning from unique downtown spots to some of the city’s most beloved bars. Each stop will feature entertainment from bands, DJs, to film screenings and there is no pressure to make it to the finish line (since 312 ounces of beer is pretty daunting).
The original idea behind the Beerathon was to create a marathon event for those of us whose enthusiasm for running includes making a beer-run. So, come participate, rock out all day with beers, bands, djs, and the most fun you can have legally. You’ll leave with some great memories, or none at all.
Registration is now open for $55 per person which will entitle you to 26 beers (12-ounce pours). Beerathon was founded in New York five years ago and has opened up the races to the city of angels after gaining an incredible amount of success. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to charitable organizations.
For more information check out the official LA Beerathon website. Venues will be announced throughout March until the week of the event via Twitter (@LABeerathon).
