2012 Holiday Bottles
Prisoner of Hell World Beer Cup Winning Belgian Strong Pale Ale
9.5% ABV. Our devilishly good Belgian style golden strong. Upfront you can expect a subtle toasty malt character which moves quickly into notes of tropical fruits and spices. Finishes with a peppery spiciness and a pleasant heat, making this ale dangerously drinkable. $13
Barleywine 10.5% ABV. This is an ale that demands respect! Deceptively strong with a soft velvety finish. A pleasant nose and slight oak flavor make this strong ale stand alone. Please drink responsibly and respectfully. $13
Prince Myshkin Russian Imperial Stout 9.5% ABV. Pours a deep, opaque, midnight-black, with a dense milk chocolate colored head. Brewed with a large percentage of roasted and chocolate malts. Flavors are reminiscent of dark fruits, chocolate and sandalwood, making Prince Myshkin’s Stout perfect for dessert, or a dangerously smooth nightcap. $16
Man Full of Funk Porter 8% ABV. Injected with Cantillon yeast and Brettanomyces, blended with Prince Myshkin Russian Imperial Stout and aged for 3 ½ years in oak apple-brandy barrel. $17
Barrel Aged Prince Myshkin Russian Imperial Stout 9.5% ABV. This batch of Prince Myshkin was aged in Hungarian oak barrels for 11 months before aging in our cellars for additional 24 months. The barrels imparted wonderfully delicate notes of vanilla, coconut, and mocha to the flavor and aroma. It starts rich and bitter-sweet and ends with lingering spiciness. $18
Flemish Red Sour Ale 6.5% ABV. Aged for 2 ½ years in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, conditioned in the bottle for one year and inoculated with wild yeasts and bacteria, this beer is a study in complexity. Flavors ranging from cherries and blackberries to a leathery earthiness can be expected. Notes of wood and subtle acidic character also come into play. It’s sharp acidity and complex fruit character give this Flemish red ale a particularly wine-like quality. $19
