Avery Brewing – The Czar and Mephistopheles Release Parties

November marks the annual return of our great Russian friend, an 11.1% alc/vol tyrannical dictator of ale loaded with flavors of toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise.  We have begun the Avery Tap Room’s annual food drive, and if you bring in 3 food items from this high-need list, then we’ll hook you up with a complimentary glass of Czar at the release party on November 15th along with a raffle ticket for your chance to win 2 cases of Czar at the party!  Help us take care of those in need, and the Czar will take care of you!

A Demon of Ale, Mephistopheles is risen…
Just in time for December and the coldest months, our coal black devil of a stout rematerializes. Amazingly complex, velvety and liqueurish, this demon has a bouquet of vine-ripened grapes, anise and chocolate covered cherries with flavors of rum-soaked caramelized dark fruits and a double espresso finish. 16.2% alc/vol and deep bodied to boot! We honor our Demon on November 28th with a charcuterie and chocolate pairing and guided 3 year vertical. Tickets $30 each, and go on sale at the Avery Tap Room on Monday November 5th.
