Avery Brewing 5 Course Beer Dinner At Sublime Alehouse For SDBW
Our friends at Avery Brewing Co. are making the trip all the way from Boulder, Colorado to help us celebrate San Diego Beer Week in style. We are going to have at least 8 Avery handles on, and pouring some very special beers. We will be presenting a 5 course prix fixe for this evening to showcase some incredible gourmet comfort food paired with Avery’s delicious suds.

1st course – Curried Cauliflower, Chick Pea, Endive Salad
Cauliflower, chick pea, Belgian endive, w/ beer soaked raisins,
pickled onions, pine nuts w/ curry vinaigrette
paired with White Rascal – Witbier
2nd course – Dugana Beer Cheese Soup
Cheddar and Avery Dugana with holiday spices
paired with Dugana – IIPA
3rd course – Pasta Carbonara
Homemade pasta w/bacon lardons and shallots,
tossed in egg and pecorino romano
paired with Avery IPA – IPA
4th course – Rosemary Colorado Rack of Lamb
Rosemary rack of lamb brined in Avery Old Jubilation and roasted
Served w/ Creamy garlic rosemary mashed potatoes
paired with Old Jubilation – English Old Ale
5th course – Fig Creme Brulee
Beer custard with figs,
topped with a brown sugar candied shell
paired with Reverand – Quad

Along with this pairing, we will also be presenting a vertical tasting of their famed, yet elusive Mephistopheles stout. This is a very rare opportunity to taste the 2009, 2010, and 2011 versions of this incredible beer, all on the same flight paddle. Wow. Don’t miss this one folks.
