Mardi Gras Beer Dinner: Creole Food & Killer Beer with Chef Michael Long
Denver, CO – Chef & Brew presents “Creole Food & Killer Beer,” a one of kind beer dinner featuring the small batch beers of Strange Brewing Company and the cuisine of Chef Michael Long. This Mardi Gras Dinner features 6 dishes expertly paired with the food friendly beers of Strange. Guests will be seated in Strange’s newly expanded tap room. The dinner is part of an on-going beer dinner series that will take place at breweries across the Front Range.
“We wanted to bring people to the source, says Chef Michael Long. “Most beer dinners take place in the familiar confines of a restaurant but we want to bring people to the actual brewery. Tap rooms are often the epicenter for craft brewers featuring small test batches of beer and the chance to rub shoulders with the brewers.”
Strange will debut their Krewe Beer which is a nod to the Bourbon Street concoction. Fresh lemon and lime zest offer a citrus kick but the showcase of the beer is passion fruit and rum. Passion fruit and rum-soaked oak spirals are added during secondary fermentation to round the beer out.
