Angelman Syndrome 5k Walk – Rubicon Brewing Company
Sacramento, CA – On Saturday, May 21st, 2011, the Angelman Syndrome Foundation National Walk 2011 will take place at William Land Park starting at 10:00am. The Angelman Syndrome Foundation National Walk 2011 will take place on May 21st, 2011 across the country at various locations. The community of Sacramento and Rubicon Brewery support the Angelman Syndrome Foundation and their efforts. This Saturday, May 21st, Rubicon Brewery will be hosting the after-party at 2004 Capitol Avenue Sacramento, CA after the 5k walk with proceeds benefitting the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
Angelman Syndrome (AS) is a neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in 1 in 15,000 live births. AS is often misdiagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism. Characteristics of AS include; developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders. Individuals with Angelman Syndrome will require life-long care. ASF is a national 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping families, care providers and medical professionals arm themselves with as much helpful information about Angelman Syndrome as possible. The Angelman Syndrome Foundation’s mission is to advance the awareness and treatment of Angelman Syndrome through education and information, research, and support for individuals with Angelman Syndrome, their families and other concerned parties.
Come and support the Angelman Syndrome 5k Walk at William Land Park this Saturday, May 21st, at 10:00am, as well as, enjoy great food and locally brewed beer at Rubicon Brewery after the walk to benefit the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.
