2012 Strong Ale Fest At Library Alehouse
Santa Monica,CA – We at the Alehouse always like to have a couple handles of high ABV goodness on tap, but we make sure to save some serious goodies for the end of the year. Running from December 19th through the 31st, this year’s Strong Ale Fest will feature ten rotating handles of strong and barrel-aged beer, with no beer lower than 8.0% ABV and some as high as 15.0% ABV. Every beer on tap (with a couple exceptions) will be available in twelveounce pours, or flights of three six-ounce pours so you can sample responsibly.

We are also happy to announce that we’re partnering with Uber, your on demand private driver, to get our guests home safely and comfortably after imbibing all that high-ABV deliciousness. Guests need only download the Uber app to their smartphone and attend Strong Ale Fest. The Alehouse will then provide guests with a promo code for $20 off one ride for new Uber users. So drink, eat and be merry (and safe!).
December 19th Kickoff Event: Strong Ale Greetings from California
Our fine state produces some of the best beer in the world and the strong stuff is no exception. As soon as we open on December 19th, you’ll find a tap list with some of California’s finest. The following will all be on draft:

December 26th: Belated Christmas with Firestone Walker
Firestone’s Anniversary beers have become the stuff of legend, as has their entire barrel-aging program. On December 26th at 6PM, we pay homage to their efforts by tapping the following:
- Firestone XVI Anniversary Ale
- Firestone Parabola 2012
- Firestone Double DBA 2012
But we didn’t stop at the tap list. We will also feature full bottles and bottle-poured flights of the following Firestone Walker goodies:

December 31st: New Year’s Eve Vintage Beer Dinner
We will have one seating at 8:30PM. Five courses each paired with vintage beer from the Alehouse cellar and a champagne toast at the end of the night. Pricing and ticketing details to follow on facebook and twitter. You won’t want to miss this night.

The Library Alehouse is a true public house, Santa Monica-style, featuring an ever-changing variety of 29 craft beers on draft, as well as many hard-to-find bottled beers and a menu of beerfriendly, inspired American cuisine. The Library Alehouse is located at 2911 Main St. in Santa Monica. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. to midnight seven days a week and the restaurant is available for private parties and offers catering.
