Squeal Like A Pig! The Whole Hog Comes to Baltimore for the 4th Annual Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival
Timonium, MD – The 4th Annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, produced by The Trigger Agency, is returning to the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium on April 9 & 10, 2010. The all-you-care-to-taste extravaganza starts with a NEW Friday Night Session from 6pm – 10pm. This session will offer all inclusive BBQ as well as unlimited sampling of bourbon and beer.
Saturday sessions run from Noon to 6pm. An exclusive VIP only tasting will begin at 12pm and last until 2pm. General admission will follow from 2pm through 6pm.
A souvenir glass is included with each ticket purchase and offers guests unlimited tasting of over 60 of the best beers and 40 top-notch bourbons. Delicious barbeque is available throughout the day at an additional expense except on Friday evening. The event will offer live music, arts, crafts, memoribila exhibits and a cigar tent.
“This year we have some very exciting and new features to the event,’ says Greg Nivens, President of The Trigger Agency. “With the show’s growth we have added a whole new Friday night session. This session is great because we are bringing in Pit Masters from all over the country to cook WHOLE HOGS for everyone to enjoy. As well, we are offering Pit Cooking seminars throughout the weekend. In addition, we’ll have 60 beers and 40 bourbons, over 20,000 new square feet of tented space, lots of bluegrass, a mechanical bull plus a few surprises here and there. We look forward to seeing everyone out at the festival.”
With all the beer, bourbons and plenty of barbeque, everyone is sure to find something they love. Craft beers and breweries include: Brewery Ommegang, Dogfish Head, Dos Equis, DuClaw, Evolution, Flying Dog, Fordham , Gordon Biersch, Guinness , Heavy Seas, Heineken, Lake Placid, Lancaster, Longhammer, Magic Hat, McSorleys, Old Dominion, Saranac, Sierra Nevada, Smithwicks, Stone, Strongbow, Widmer, Woodchuck and many more.
Rare and specialty bourbons from Heaven Hill Distillery, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Distillery, Jack Daniels Family Brand, Woodford, Jeremiah Weed Distillery, Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, The Small Batch Collection, Firefly Distillery, Bulleit, Buffalo Trace Distillery and more will be onsite for sampling.
On the main stage, Kristen and The Noise, one of the regions hottest bands will headline a fantastic line-up including The Naked Mountain Boys, Tailgate Down, and Wild Bonerz – offering classic and neveau bluegrass, rock and today’s top party hits.
A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit The Giving Spirits Foundation, a Maryland non-profit organization that provides support for children in need.
General admission to the festival is $35 in advance or $40 on-site and includes admission into the event and a souvenir glass. VIP admission is $45 (available in advance only). The special Friday Night session is $55 per person. Designated Driver admission is also available for $20 and includes admission to the event. Kids 12 and under are free.
