Nominate The Best Craft Beer of 2013 for Year End Poll
We are getting ready for our flagship poll, The Best Craft Beer of 2013. We want your help nominating the very best of 2013.
Criteria: Must have made it’s “outside the tap room” debut and or bottle debut in 2013. For example, Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin has been a tap room one off for years, but was finally bottled, labeled and distributed in 2013.
Please save your comments for the comments section here, not Facebook. It will help us gather and organize better.
Tips: Just because you tried Heady Topper this year, doesn’t mean it’s new. A vintage of a beer does not count. A rename of an existing beer does not count. Feel free to correct us or other participants of this thread. We will go live with the Best Craft Beer of 2013 Poll January 6, 2014.
Please put your nomination, agreement or disagreement in the comment section below.

I agree with a few of the others, it would be criminal not to have Pivo Pils on there. Almost a perfect beer…even if it isn’t Double Barrel Aged with 8 lbs of hops per oz and fermented with 8 different kinds of belgian yeast by monks wearing nothing but Miley Cyrus Robes.

Jester King Atrial Rubicite. Jester King, while not as widely distributed as some of the others on the list, they craft some of the best beers around. Pretty much all of their beer is delicious.

Golden Road – Better Weather IPA
New for this year with a later October release, I think this is the best beer released this year. I’m so happy this beer came from LA.

Hoparazzi Mission Impechable. A legend is born. A new era of beer is here. Or if you want to quibble over whether or not it was technically “available” in 2013 (it was, a couple of times if you knew where to be), it’s an early front-runner for Best of 2014.

As the ambassador for Mission Impechable, choose wisely. I’m hoping that marvelous shit will be bottled.
Jeremy Ries
December 12, 2013 @ 6:20 pm
I know it’s novelty, but not a sauce is the clear and present winner. It’s an incredible brew that breaks the mold of what a beer can be.

Oops, I have to remove my previous nomination since it is draft only.
Then I say Lakewood Brewing’s Brabo’s Cut!! It has wonderful brown sugar notes on the nose and beautiful honey drops on the palate. It is best when served at room temperature and with a few months of age in the bottle. This is by far my favorite Belgian Dark Strong of 2013.

Smuttynose Durty. It was in their short batch series this year but will be more widely available next year. Here in NH we loved this hoppy brown ale immensely both on draft and in bottles. Possibly the best thing they have ever brewed.
