I’ve had friends buy Punk IPA and other more “obtainable” BrewDog beers because of the media that’s surrounded them. It’s got people asking questions, not just about TNP or Sink the Bismark, but just about the brewery itself. Plus, it’s given me a good laugh!

Exactly. The whole rationale is advertising. You can’t buy PR like this. BrewDog, a company hardly know outside of craft beer lovers is now on sites like Digg, BoingBoing, CBS & MSNBC. I think this ad campaign will help BrewDog get a lot of “cusp” consumers who may now be more willing to pickup a 4-pack for “those crazy guys that put beer in squirrels.” Anytime craft beer gets attention, it’s good for us all.

Besides that, they are both standup guys and from my experience, their customer service is outstanding. BrewDog makes some great beers, especially those from the new Abstrakt line so I welcome anything as a marketer myself that puts them on the map.
