A Prayer for Cigar City Hunahpu’s Day 2015
I would like to say a blessing/toast for tomorrow’s Cigar City Hunahpu’s Day 2015. Last year, I had a horrible experience there, as did many others. We can all agree that some of the negative things that happened are not what craft beer stands for. Please follow along and share this prayer, to hopefully send out some positive vibes to the fine employees of Cigar City Brewing, as well as the loyal, craft beer loving fans of Cigar City Hunaphu’s Imperial Stout who will be gathering at the brewery for this event.
I am not a religious man, but I’m all about good vibes, good Karma and most importantly, a good time.
Dear Ninkasi (The Goddess of Beer),
Please make sure that Hunahpu’s Day 2015 runs as smooth as possible.
Let’s keep the weather nice. We don’t need hundreds of beer-gutted fellas overly perspiring. While there isn’t any rain in the forecast, it is Florida, so you never know.
Let’s make sure that all the fest-goers are kind and courteous to the staff members at Hunahpu’s Day. In turn, let’s make sure that all the staff members are kind and courteous.
Let’s make sure that lines are well ran and that everyone can try the beers they’ve been excited to try. Please keep an eye on line cutters and other greedy folks so that everyone has a great time.
Please ensure that folks don’t get too drunk and try to steal other peoples bottles, whether they be bottles of Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout, or the bottles they’ve brought to share. We all know craft beer is about sharing and enjoying, not about stealing and being a thief.
Please watch over Cigar City and their staff to make sure a few bad eggs don’t ruin their bottle sale or the entire event.
Ninkasi, let’s make this Hunahpu’s Day so great and successful, that everybody forgets the hiccups from last year, and that this event goes down in history as one of the best beer events ever.
Let’s raise a toast to delicious spiced Imperial Stout amongst many other amazing beers with no fights, no stealing, no cheating, no smelly pit stains, and sad faces !
