Fairhope Brewing 1st Anniversary Party
Fairhope, AL – This Saturday, February 8, Fairhope Brewing is celebrating our first birthday, and to mark the occasion we’ve put together the most extensive beer list we’ve ever offered at the brewery, from firkins to small-batch brews crafted with the help of Mobile’s Random Acts of Brewing homebrew club. These beers will be tapped throughout the day and you’ll know a new one is on when you hear the bell ring in the taproom. We don’t expect each batch to last very long, so be sure to get here at 4:00 so you don’t miss out on any!
Check out the beer menu below and stay tuned for an email on Friday announcing the order in which they’ll be tapped. And of course, in addition to all of this delicious beer, don’t forget the rest of the fun: commemorative glasses, fainting goats, Unique Streat Eatz food truck, and live music all day, including Grayson Capps and the band starting around 8pm! BEER MENU
German Smoked Rye Ale
This German-style ale is brewed with German Rye, Pilsner, Munich and Beechwood smoked malts and exhibits a rich malt backbone with a distinct smokiness.
Irish Barleywine
This massive beast of a beer will help ward off any chill in the air. At 12.5% ABV, it’s one of the biggest brews to come out of the brewery yet.
Scottish Wee Heavy
Another big ole beer to help us look to another year. This Scotch Ale is a malt-forward winter warmer, meant to be sipped on chilly days.
German DunkelWeizen
This dark, German wheat beer exhibits loads of rich malt character and Banana-like flavors imparted by the German wheat yeast used in fermentation. Brewed by Random Acts of Brewing
Belgian India Brown Ale
Never heard of this style? Neither have we, but that didn’t stop brewery assistant Scott Daniel from crafting up this dark, hoppy Belgian ale to celebrate the occasion.
Kolsch-style ale
Warmer weather is just around the corner, but you can will on the higher temps with this crisp German-style Kolsch brewed with malts from the heart of Kölsch country, Cologne, Germany.
Alabama Common
Brewed in the tradition of the California Steam Beers, this Gulf Coast version exhibits a distinct earthiness and rich malt backbone. Brewed by Random Acts of Brewing
American Wheat Ale
We tweaked the grain bill for Section Street Wheat – a little more of this, a little less of that – and fermented it with a clean but character-filled American yeast strain. The resulting beer pours cloudy with a pleasant malt sweetness.
English Barleywine
Dan brewed this 10-gallon batch back in June in anticipation for today’s grand soiree. It uses a massive amount of English Maris Otter malts and East Kent Golding hops.
Satsuma IPA firkin
Brewed with fresh Satsuma juice, this IPA boasts loads of citrus flavors, both from the hops, the juice and the whole satsumas added directly to the firkin.
In addition to our extensive small-batch beer list, we’ve also reserved a keg of almost all our occasionals throughout the year, including Football Saison, I Drink Therefore I Amber, French Quarter Porter, and of course our current (Take the) Causeway IPA and Lil Poison Brown Ale!
