Boulder Beer Company Ceases Packaging and Distribution
(Boulder, CO) – Boulder Beer Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery, will continue to operate as a brewpub.
The craft beer world is changing. With an explosive number of new breweries opening, crowded shelves at retail, and fighting for share of mind with distributor partners, Boulder Beer Company has decided to downsize and turn its attention to its Boulder, Colorado brewpub at Wilderness Place. Boulder Beer will continue to supply its award winning fresh draft beers to the Wilderness Place brewpub. The company did not make this decision lightly, and is excited for the opportunity to continue the Boulder Beer brand onsite with more room for rotating experimental and specialty brews.
“Boulder Beer has been part of my life for close to 30 years, as it has been for so many of our loyal friends and patrons,” said Gina Day, Owner of Boulder Beer Company, “and we all want to see it live on. We will offer our handcrafted, top notch beers to the local community for years to come. We remain independent, locally owned, and committed to craft beer.”
“Times have changed and change is hard, but I’m ready to put the ‘fun’ back in beer,” said Day. “Our friends will still be able to enjoy our beers in the brewpub, and by brewing in small batches, have a wider variety of options on the ever-rotating specialty taps. We’re celebrating our milestone 40th Anniversary this year and look forward to furthering our legacy in Boulder and the industry.”
Boulder Beer Company’s Pub at 2880 Wilderness Place in Boulder is open seven days a week and serves up a full menu and bar, with Boulder’s best patio offering amazing views of the Flatirons.
