Laurelwood Brewing’s Dine Out to Wipe Out Cancer Fundraiser
(Portland, OR) – For the past fourteen years Laurelwood Brewing has partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise money to fight cancer. This year’s event marks the 15th anniversary of the fundraiser and will take place Tuesday, September 26th, at Laurelwood’s northeast Portland location at 5115 NE Sandy Blvd. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will receive 20% of the day’s sales to help those in need. Over $30,000 has been generated in the past 14 years from the Dine Out to Wipe Out fundraiser. Event organizer, community cancer fighter and volunteer advocate for the LLS Tam Driscoll said, “When Laurelwood and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) teamed up 15 years ago, I had no idea we’d be creating an annual tradition that brings the community together to enjoy great food, brew and music with a common goal of kicking cancer in the keister. It’s a powerful partnership and game changer for those with cancer.”
The event offers entertainment for kids and adults alike. Balloon artist Joe Mishkin, will make an appearance at 5 pm and band Catch & Release will perform at 6 pm. The Executive Director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Stephanie Carlson added, “The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society would not be able to make an impact without the support from businesses like Laurelwood. Their dedication to hosting the Dine Out to Wipe Out Cancer for 15 years has enabled LLS to fund local cancer research projects, provide co-pay assistance to local blood cancer patients and educate the community.”
Join Laurelwood and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Tuesday, September 26th at their NE Portland location to help battle cancer.
