Weyerbacher Fourteen
From Weyerbacher – To honor 14 years of making craft beer we decided to brew a wheat wine. This unfiltered brew is made with over 50% wheat to give it a distinctly spicy character. Enjoy it now, or if you have the patience, give it some time in your cellar. When you are ready, expect to find notes of tart wheat and honey with crisp bitterness and carbonation. Recipe by Head Brewer Chris Wilson and Brewer Jeff Musselman.
Weyerbacher Brewing – Weyerbacher Fourteen – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 11.8% abv. From Peter in MN!
Appearance: Pours a vibrant amber orange with a sturdy white stripe for head.
Aroma: Sour fruitiness and alcohol.
Taste: Alcohol, burnt sugar, toasted coconut, and pineapple.
Mouthfeel: Hot.
Overall: This beer was entirely too alcoholic for me to really enjoy what could have been a great wheat wine. This isn’t a fresh bottle, so I can’t imagine what it was like fresh.
