Three Floyds Zombie Dust

From Three Floyds – A medium bodied single hop pale ale showcasing Citra hop from the Yakima Valley, U.S.A.

Three Floyds Brewing – Three Floyds Zombie Dust – On tap at DLD 2011 – 6.2% abv.

Appearance: Pours a vibrant dark orange with no head.

Aroma: Dank bud, mango, apricot, tangerine.

Taste: Citrus out the wing wang. Punctuated bitterness, slightly sweet malt. Like most beautiful Citra beers I’ve tried, your tongue is looking for bitterness that just isn’t there, and it makes the beer fall off in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Thin with moderate carbonation. This would probably be remarkable on cask.

Overall: Even though I thought it could be a bit more bitter, to balance out that amazing dose of sweet and citrus notes, I still finished it loving it.
