The Bruery Provisions – Chocosaurus Rye

From The Bruery – We collaborated with the great people over at Bootlegger’s Brewery to make this delicious amalgamation of our two breweries styles: a 7% ABV dark rye lager that was finished with cacao nibs and vanilla beans.

The Bruery – The Bruery Provisions Series Collaboration Series Chocosaurus Rye – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 7% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a dark brown almost black. Not much head but a ring if tan and spotty lacing.

Aroma: Chocolate soda (my grandmother used to give this diet Chocolate Soda as a kid), vanilla, fresh herbal hops.

Taste: Chocolate, earthy toasty malt, vanilla, balanced with green grassy hop spice.

Mouthfeel:  Medium bodied. Low key bubbles.

Overall: Very fresh, very balanced with natural flavors.  As familiar as I am with the house flavors of both Bootleggers and The Bruery, I’d say it’s so 50/50 you wouldn’t be able to tell who made this. It’s very tasty now, drink it now, don’t try cellaring it.
