Stone Old Guardian Belgo-Barley Wine

From The Full Pint – This beer may or may not see the light of day as far as bottling goes.  My neighbor was nice enough to pick me up a growler of this.  Look for this beer to make an appearance for Stone’s Total Tower Takeover 2010.

Stone Brewing Co. – Stone Old Guardian BELGO-Barley Wine – Growler to goblet. Alcohol 10-12% range.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a beige creamy frothy film.

Aroma: Abbey Tripel like yeast and big and herbal hop notes.

Taste: Tripel yeast (pencil shavings and clove), fruitiness and abrasive bitter hops.

Mouthfeel: Thick and astringent.

Overall: I’ll take OG OG any day over this.
