Midnight Sun Mayhem Belgian Double IPA

From Midnight Sun – Chaotic yet hypnotic, Mayhem is a deliberate Double IPA, brewed and conditioned with a special Belgian yeast that contributes complexity and spice. Abundant American hops offer grapefruit, pine, must and mint, which play off the fullness and sweetness of pale malts then provide a biting yet enticing finish.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber orange that starts with a massive fluffy white head that subsides to a 1/4 inch. Leaves webby lacing.

Aroma: A big even mixture of Belgian yeast and citrusy hops.

Taste: Tripel yeast, fruity sweetness, finishing with big bitter hops and earthiness.

Mouthfeel: Syrupy, moderate fizz.

Overall: This usually isn’t my style, but the hop aroma and bitterness set this a part from the pack.
