Starr Hill Little Red Roostarr Coffee Cream Stout

From Starr Hill Brewery – Little Red RooStarr Coffee Stout is a full-bodied milk stout brewed with coffee from our friends at Red Rooster Coffee Roasters in Floyd, VA. Malt sweetness, chocolate and caramel notes dominate the flavor, while roasted coffee notes add balance and round out the aroma.

Starr Hill Brewery – Starr Hill Little Red Roostarr Coffee Cream Stout – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 5.8% abv.

Appearance: Pours near black with a khaki head that falls to nothing.

Aroma: Milk chocolate, mocha, cereal, tootsie roll.

Taste:  Prepared coffee, dark chocolate, burnt toast, mineral. Finishes with a slightly acidic coffee twang that lingers.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, prickly carbonation.

Overall:  Not a bad little coffee stout with none of the attributes of a bad coffee beer. This was very fresh and tasty.
