Tröegs Brewing – The Mad Elf – 12 oz. Poured into a New Belgium glass – 11% abv. Purchased at Hops and Grapes, Glassboro, NJ.

Appearance: A dark, ruby red with a white pinstripe of suds.

Aroma: Ripe cherries, Belgian-like yeast and German malts.

Taste: A sturdy golden ale mixed with ripe cherries. Flavors of crust and honey in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Rather thin for what sounds thick on the label.

Overall: Very balanced, very yummy, suprisingly thin, and by golly, warms you up.
