Review – Pannepot 2006 Old Fisherman’s Ale
Pannepot 2006 Old Fisherman’s Ale by De Struise Brouwers
10% ABV, 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance:
Dark brown, murky, slight transluscence, thinning beige head.
Aroma:
The obvious smell of a fine Belgian beer, a hint of malt, dark fruit, and noticeably prunes.
Taste:
Malty, bit of coffee, pretty big prune punch, slightly bitter, with a slight alcohol presence, squaw bread, like the stuff at Outback, roasted nuts, very complex.
Mouthfeel:
Pretty thick, viscous I should say, slightly velvety fizz, nice.
Drinkability:
Wow, I was really impressed, this is a fine beer, I highly recommend it to any, stout, porter, barleywine fans out there.
