Review – Magic Hat HI.P.A.

Spring India Pale Ale

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance:
Tannish orange, fluffy, white head. Webby lacing.

Aroma:
Grainy bread. Many people have found citrus notes, I didn’t however.

Taste:
Nothing like an IPA. Like a hopped up lager. A bit salty and very bitter.

Mouthfeel:
Tart and puckering.

Overall:
Not good for an IPA, nice bittering but too grainy tasting for my liking. Perhaps meant for someone looking for a traditional English style.
