Review – Humperdink’s Total Disorder Porter
This is from a local brew-pub in Dallas called Humperdinks. They have won some GABF awards in the past for their Porter and the Large Brewpub of the year so they are legit.
Humperdink’s Total Disorder Porter on draft.
Aroma: Smell the black patent and caramel malts. Light hops that complement the brew well.
Taste and Mouthfeel: On First taste chocolate and smokey flavours in the back of the palete. Forced carbonation , almost a bit too much, leaves a feeling of an overcarbonated soda, but not too much. Great smokey flavour that lingers untill the next sip is inbibed.
Overall: Good version of a Porter. Today it seems to have lost a little from previous times, but a good porter non-the-less. I wish it would have been served warmer; but this, albiet a brewpub, is a main stream bar so the-colder-the-glass-the-better mantra rigens supreame. It is wholly drinkable and would be a great Growler buy for to take home.
