Review – Flying Dog In Heat Wheat Hefeweizen
From Flying Dog Brewery: She taunts and teases… In-Heat Wheat is our German-style Hefeweizen. She is a full flavor beer, perfect for the more adventurous craft beer drinker. The addition of malted white wheat gives this brew its smooth, full mouthfeel. A proprietary yeast creates intriguing flavors of bananas and cloves.
Flying Dog Brewery-In Heat Wheat Hefeweizen Ale-12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass, ABV 4.7%.
Purchased as part of a Flying Dog Mixed Pack at Bella Vista Beverage – Philadelphia, PA
Appearance: A cloudy orange-yellow with a thick, ½” head
Smell: Orange zest with a hint of grains.
Mouthfeel: A light body with a sweet, clean finish.
Taste: Bright, intense flavors of orange and lemon with a light hint of hops.
Drinkability: A sweet, smooth-drinking hefeweizen that’s perfect for the dog days of summer.
