Review – Sierra Nevada Summerfest Lager

From Sierra Nevada Brewing – Our Summerfest® is a refreshing, pilsner-style lager. Its incredible smoothness comes from an extra-long lagering period. Lighter in body than our ales but just as complex in character, Summerfest® quenches your thirst with big aroma and a tangy hop bite.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. – Summerfest Lager – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 5% abv. Purchased at Whole Foods Pasadena, CA – Hastings Ranch location.

Appearance: Pours a clear yellow gold with an active 1/4 inch of sudsy foam.

Aroma: Very light whiffs of dry malt and bitter Euro hops.

Taste: Metallic, earthy hops, dry buscuity malt.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, thin, watery.

Overall: The beer is refreshing, and highly drinkable. This isn’t my preferred style, but wouldn’t say no to this on a hot day.
