Review – Brown’s Brewing Pale Ale
Review – Brown’s Brewing Pale Ale
5.5% abv
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a chilled pint glass.
Appearance
Crystal clear amber orange color with hues of crimson red. Light, fluffy head sits about an inch on top and is chalk colored. Appears to be good carbonation.
Aroma
The fresh hop smell almost blew me away. They must spike this beer with a decent amount of dry hops because it is very strong – the way I like my pale ales.
Taste
Very rich yet smooth enough to drink without getting full. The hop flavor is second to none and is balanced perfectly with the sweet malt flavors.
Mouthfeel
A little sticky from the finishing hops. Just the right amount of carbonation provides a smooth feeling as it is heading down the hatch.
Overall
I love this beer! There, I said it. This is undoubtedly one of the best pale ale’s I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. I was lucky enough to receive a sample directly from Brown’s since I cannot buy their beers in my local stores. But now I wonder if I can go on without being able to have it again. Alas, I will find a way to get my hands on more. Just need a plan.
