Philadelphia Joe Coffee Porter

From Philadelphia Brewing – Joe is not your average beer. This ale is brewed with locally-roasted, fair trade coffee, Dark Munich and chocolate malts which combine to create a well-balanced, flavorful Porter with a fresh roasted coffee aroma. Good from the first drop. We use 2.5 pounds of coffee in each barrel of this robust porter.

Appearance: Pours a midnight black with a small tan frothy cap.

Aroma: Medium roasted coffee beans.

Taste: Spent coffee grinds/old coffee, minerals, roasted malt and spicy Euro hops.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and creamy.

Overall: Would be so much better if the spent coffee flavor was out of the equation.
