Pelican The Perfect Storm

From Pelican Pub & Brewery – A Evan Willliams bourbon barrel aged Stormwatcher 2007. Clear dark red color with very good foam. Aroma features pronounced bourbon, oak, char, vanilla and complex caramel notes. Assertive alcohol presence. Big round malty backbone with residual caramel and slight sweetness.

Appearance: Pours a reddish brown with no head.

Aroma: Hot booze and lacquer.

Taste: Bourbon, wood and brown sugar.

Mouthfeel: Sticky. Very modest carbonation.

Overall: Big and boozy, not offensive, and pretty original.
