Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale
From Oskar Blues – This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!
Oskar Blues Brewery – Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale – 16 oz. can poured into an imperial pint glass. – 8% abv.
Appearance: Pours a fairly clear amber gold with a white head that subsides to a cap of frothy bubbles.
Aroma: Pineapple, mango apricot, caramel.
Taste: Tropical dried fruit, earthy bitterness, caramel/toffee sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Active carbonation full bodied.
Overall: Fairly tasty. I could always use a little more bitterness, I’m guessing they are going for a wider audience with the level of sweetness this beer has.
