From New Belgium – Pure rock fury meets Belgian-style brewed folly in this collaboration with Maryland hard-rockers, Clutch. A pronounced bass line of dark chocolate, coffee and black malts bridge the sourness of our dark wood ale for a fluid riff.

New Belgium Brewing – New Belgium Lips of Faith Clutch – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 9% abv.

Appearance: Pours an ink black with a creamy tan head.

Aroma: Funk, chocolate, dark fruit and coffee beans.

Taste: Coffe, dark chocolate. Wood.  Roasted dark malt. Slight twang in aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Lively dry bubbles ,full bodied.

Overall: A tasty stout. Not sour, but you smell some funk developing. If you can find this still, buy some for the cellar and see what direction those bugs go in.
