Nebraska Reserve Series Apricot au Poivre Saison
From Nebraska Brewing – An artful interpretation of a Belgian-style Saison created with Apricot Puree and Black Pepper. Aged for 6 months in third-use French Oak Chardonnay barrels. Delicate flavors and aromas of oak, apricot, chardonnay, and pepper intertwined in the barrel to achieve a flavor profile that is simultaneously complex and delightful.
Nebraska Brewing Company – Nebraska Reserve Series Apricot au Poivre Saison – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 6.8% abv. Thanks Mat!
Appearance: Pours a honey gold with a creamy white head. Leaves creamy lacing behind.
Aroma: Oaky vinous wine barrel, blush wine, tart fruit.
Taste: Spicy yeast, apricot, blush wine, oak, huge tannins.
Mouthfeel: Soda like fizz, medium bodied, slightly astringent.
Overall: Pretty darn great. Smells great, tastes delicious, very refreshing.
