Breckenridge SummerBright Ale

From Breckenridge – The brewmaster’s goal: the perfect ale for summertime quaffing, nothing more. Breck Brew’s SummerBright is the result. The craftsman’s touch combines white wheat, two row pale and munich malt with the pacific northwest’s most intriguing hops to create a bright, clean ale ideal for picnicking, evenings on the screen porch and enjoying the whims of the summer breeze.

Breckenridge Brewery – Breckenridge SummerBright Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 4.5% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a hazy yellow gold with a tight white head. Not much in the way of lacing or spots left on the glass.

Aroma: Bread dough, straw and citrus zest.

Taste: Kolch-style yeast, biscuity breadiness, very low amount of hop bitterness, almost none.

Mouthfeel: Thin, crisp.

Overall: A very light beer with a bit of it’s own character that every so slightly sets it apart from the rest. I’d still take a hoppy low alcohol pale ale to this style of beer for summer drinking.
