Mission Street Brown Ale

From Mission Street – Mission Street resides at the crossroads of quality and value, a place we have called home for more than 40 years. Our award-winning is crafted in small batches using only the finest all-natural hops and malted barley, resulting in a classic brown ale with remarkable flavor and freshness.

Mission Street Brewery – Mission Street Brown Ale (A private label brew made by Firestone Walker) – 22 oz. bottle poured into an Imperial pint glass. 5.7% abv. Purchased at Trader Joe’s Monrovia, CA.

Appearance: Pours a slightly translucent reddish brown with a cream 1/2 inch head.

Aroma: Herbal euro dry hopping and sweet, light roasted malt.

Taste: Nutty chocolaty roasty malt, finishes nutty with some hop spice. A little bit of cola in there as well.

Mouthfeel: Thin, coating, and modestly carbonated.

Overall: A pretty good brown ale. It’s not usually my bag. An amazing bargain at $2.00 a bomber, and works well with cooking as well.
