Marin Hoppy Holidaze

From Marin Brewing – Our traditional Christmas Ale, brewed with Pale, Wheat, Caramalt and Munich malts, and hopped with Sterling and Styrian Goldings varieties. Delicately spiced with canela, nutmeg, mace, orange peel and pure vanilla extract. 7.0% alcohol by volume.

Marin Brewing – Marin Hoppy Holidaze – 22 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 7.0% abv.

Appearance:  Pours a dark copper with a quickly subsided head.

Aroma: Dried cranberry, plum, honey, holly berry, cinnamon. Basically a holiday yankee candle.

Taste: Honey like malt, baked apples and cinnamon. Nutmeg and hop spice. Alcohol well hidden. Touch of ginger. Finishes dry.

Mouthfeel: Full mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation.

Overall: Nothing hoppy about this beer,so please don’t expect that to be the case, but very much “holidaze.” Often overlooked, this is a fun, affordable addition to a holiday tasting this season.
