Lost Abbey Ad Lib

From Lost Abbey – Ad Lib is a blend of Bourbon Barrel Aged Midnight Expression, Bourbon Barrel Aged Judgment Day and Rye Barrel aged Serpent’s Stout.

The Lost Abbey – Lost Abbey Ad Lib – On tap at Port Brewing/The Lost Abbey – 10% abv.

Appearance: Pours a midnight black with a creamy tan cap.

Aroma: Milk chocolate, bourbon, grape.

Taste: Bourbon, rye whiskey, dark chocolate, alcohol, wood and roast.

Mouthfeel: Sticky, modest carbonation, full bodied.

Overall:  A very complex tasty blend of dark barrel aged ale.  I am a sucker for sweet bourbon booze bombs, and like Deliverance slightly more. With that said, this is way more dialed in, showing more finesse.
