La Bavaisienne Ambrée

From Theillier La Bavaisienne – La Bavaisienne is artfully brewed in very small batches using a resourceful combination of ancient and more modern equipment. This rare treat is a rich amber color with a gorgeous, dense head. Hearty malt taste in perfect balance with fresh hop bitterness, and a natural hint of spiciness that is distinctly French. To be cellared and enjoyed like wine.

Appearance: Pours a fairly clear amber orange with a thick stripe of white suds.

Aroma: Light funk, mulch, stagnant water.

Taste: Caramel and burnt sugar right off the bat. Some earthiness, some funk and finishes on the dry side.

Mouthfeel: Soft and almost creamy.

Overall: Non-offensive, not that memorable. Thank’s for letting me try Andrew.
